The Presto 01781 23-Quart pressure cooker is ideal for all your home window needs, with more than enough space for your 6 Masonry boxes. The Presto 01781 takes up as much space as a large hob and fits both a gas cooker and a smooth (electric) hob. This model has long been a bestseller at Amazon, usually under 100 dollars (cm lowest price).
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has stated in its comprehensive guide to home canning that the only safe method for preserving low-acid foods (vegetables, fermented foods, poultry, seafood and meat) is canning under pressure. What makes us happier and happier is that Presto has once again made a brilliant invention that helps us preserve the taste of our food. Presto 01781 is also good for preserving fruit, jam, jelly, gherkins and salsa by boiling water under a handy stand on which cans can be placed. Not to mention the fact that it also serves as a pressure cooker.
Presto 01781 is a reliable kitchen appliance, which is only helped by the fact that it is made of torsion-resistant aluminium (so that the appliance quickly and evenly retains its elegant shape when heated from the inside), the lid is made of steel, an air valve / lid closure is provided for safety (only then does it switch on / open until the correct pressure is reached), the internal o-ring helps create a sealed environment for maximum efficiency, and the pressure relief plug prevents you and your family from getting burned when you open the can or pressure plate when it has done its job, very well, I might add.

Our Presto 01781 Review
When I got the Presto 01781, I was nervous at first. But I quickly read the manual, and a lot of other things that made sense, like the fact that the ventilation hose is transparent, doesn’t stop you from swinging the box/pressure plate back and forth, but that’s normal.
I followed the recipe and the safety instructions step by step and made sure that my brick cans were closed and sealed and did not touch the bottom of the can (which can cause cracks) before sealing the can and putting it in the dump. Thirty minutes later I came back to see if my vegetables were in the box (I chose carrots), and they came out perfectly.
I carefully removed the Masonry Boxes and checked them for cracks, leaks, splashes, etc. I also checked the Masonry Boxes for cracks, leaks, splashes, etc. I thought they were very clean. Amazed by the possibilities of this innovative machine, I loved putting carrots in the cupboard and was immediately ready to use the pressure cooker function to prepare dinner for my family (to my great delight there was actually a recipe for a hearty casserole – 15-18 servings actually).
Since then I’ve been using the Presto 01781 every day (in fact, I’ve discovered that the Presto 01781 can comfortably hold 7 boxes of Mason) and I’ve never been disappointed. The way it preserves the moisture of the food, the extra large formats that allow me to prepare meals and lunches in advance after cleaning the preserves, and the fact that I no longer limit myself to preserving jams and preserves, because although you can do it – you can also use boiling water in Presto 01781 – I must admit that I like to know how to cook crabs (it’s my favorite).
And if I ever feel like the security features are in place: A deluxe pressure gauge that registers the full range of working pressure; the handles remain cool; a sturdy sealing plug that allows me to open it only when it is absolutely safe; a pressure relief plug that further minimises the risk of burns and scalds; and an internal O-ring that only releases a controlled amount of steam at the right time; if that’s not enough, Presto’s 12-year extended limited warranty shows how much Presto believes in its product and therefore in everything it can do. I certainly can’t complain.
Presto 01781 Best Performance
- 23 Quartet capacity, I can eat multiple foods at the same time (sometimes multiple foods like potatoes and sliced meat), more than I thought I was capable of Presto 01781.
- Stay-Cool Pen, To put it simply, these pens have not allowed me to hurt myself more often than I can count.
- The overpressure cap, the controlled steam drain before I can open the lid makes me much safer with my food (at least it doesn’t explode in my face).
- Thick torsion-resistant aluminium, Before I invested in the Presto 01781, it was always difficult for me to heat food evenly with other pans and hot plates.
Presto 01781 Pressure cooker output
The Presto 01781 is by far the smartest investment I’ve ever made. I got the stove and the canning machine for one price, and because I can now finally eat more than fruit, without having to boil water all the time, my children can eat less vegetables out of season (we only eat organic) and therefore become too expensive to buy. The 70-page instruction and value booklet always gives me new ideas for my daily diet, and the food I’ve canned seems to taste better than anything I’ve ever bought in a store before. Why don’t you try it yourself?
